The Youth Voice Network aims to give the younger demographic a chance to be heard and know that their opinions are of equal value to their senior counterparts. It provides a platform for younger employees to express their opinions on all aspects of the business to the leadership team and allows them to mould their future within the company, it offers a fantastic chance to network with people across all sites and connect with leadership and colleagues.
Being a part of the Youth Voice Network develops individuals’ skillsets, there are representatives for the network at each site and they will collate opinions and queries to feed to the leadership team in meetings occurring frequently throughout the year. Representatives organise events at their sites so we, as a company, can support local charities as well as our sponsor charities, this develops organisation and communication skills of participants. The leadership community at Cavendish Nuclear have committed that every member of the Youth Voice Network will be supported by a cross-functional senior mentor giving them visibility to the leadership team and access to career development support.
Retaining and developing the youth of our organisation is pertinent to the future success of Cavendish Nuclear, the Network support STEM activities which provides significant development and networking opportunities. STEM involvement is pivotal for our attraction activities and supporting local communities in educating children on what options they have in Nuclear and Engineering.
