Cavendish Nuclear is a core part of Babcock International Group’s Nuclear Sector. We provide a comprehensive range of critical nuclear solutions across the markets of Clean Energy, Defence and Civil Decommissioning, both in the UK and internationally.

From decommissioning redundant nuclear facilities, through supporting the Continuous at Sea Deterrent, to supporting the operation and build of nuclear power plants, our role in Cavendish Nuclear is to clean up the nuclear legacy and create a world where nuclear plays a key contribution in protecting our nation, ensuring security of energy supply and meeting our net zero commitments.

Our heritage is based on the amalgamation of some of the most respected and trusted companies in the UK nuclear market and includes over 40 years’ experience as a nuclear site licence holder, supporting infrastructure and plant across UK nuclear build, operation and decommissioning.

Formed Hinkley Point C MEH Joint Venture

Signed Lifetime Enterprise Agreement with EDF Energy for engineering support to the existing generation fleet

Secured contract for Magnox sites decommissioning

Began work on Sellafield’s Pile Fuel Cladding Silo waste retrieval project, the UK’s flagship nuclear project
