Integral to delivery is our manufacturing capability, which comprises of manufacturing, assembly and testing facilities at Whetstone and Rosyth. Covering a wide range of manufactured products, from specialist waste containers to large scale equipment manufacture to support decommissioning projects. Whetstone and Rosyth also have extensive facilities to support full mock-up assembly and off-site commissioning activities.
Our Operational Capability team supplies SQEP, security cleared personnel to execute Cavendish Nuclear’s contractual requirements relating to site works. We have permanent teams on many of our clients’ sites and we implement temporary teams as appropriate to execute installation and commissioning contracts. We carry out a broad range of contracts from long term high hazard decommissioning to year round maintenance and improvement of our clients’ key assets.
Our Management System implements a single approach that is flexible to meet the size of the contract and allows us to operate as a standalone Principal Contractor or to operate under our clients’ arrangements to satisfy their regulatory obligations.
A site based Engineer in Charge is appointed for each site works contract to be accountable for the preparation and implementation of the works. He will appoint and SQEP other site roles using our SQEP process that has been reviewed and commended by regulatory bodies including the ONR and EA.
