Apprentice development and support
Our apprenticeships are designed to support your growth and success. From day one, you’ll be enrolled in our Apprentice Development Programme, where you’ll benefit from a series of masterclasses held by wellbeing and performance experts.
These sessions cover vital areas like mental and physical wellbeing, your strengths and personal impact, delivering high performance goals, communication, and performance psychology.
Beyond these valuable learning experiences, you’ll have the support of a dedicated mentor, peer guidance, and resources from our Emerging Talent team to help you navigate where you want to take your career.

As a Cavendish Nuclear apprentice, you’ll be part of a team that’s shaping the future of the nuclear industry.
You’ll gain industry-recognised qualifications, develop in-demand skills, and receive the support you need to succeed – both during your apprenticeship and throughout your career.
We offer a broad range of apprenticeships across England, including:
- Advanced and Higher Apprenticeships (Levels 3–5)
- Degree Apprenticeships (Level 6) – earn a fully funded degree while you work
Our programmes are open to anyone with the right qualifications – whether you’re a school leaver, looking to change careers, or ready to take your skills to the next level.
You’ll be supported every step of the way, with opportunities to grow your skills, gain higher-level qualifications, and shape your future. We’re proud that many apprentices choose to stay with us long after completing their programme. In fact, many of our senior managers began their careers as apprentices at Cavendish Nuclear.
Cavendish Nuclear and Babcock
Cavendish Nuclear is a core part of Babcock’s Nuclear Sector and our brand allows us to operate in the nuclear energy industry whilst being distinct from other companies.
When you join us, you may be attached directly to Cavendish Nuclear. We operate from a variety of premises around the globe, some will be shared with Babcock, but many aren’t. At those locations you’ll find that they’re branded for Cavendish Nuclear and have a different look and feel.
Ultimately though you’ll still be a part of Babcock. You’ll contribute to our purpose of creating a safe and secure world together and operate under the same principles we use across the group. Two brands, one company, one team.
