2018 is the Year of Engineering and Cavendish Nuclear is excited to be attending The Big Bang North West on the 10th July at Exhibition Centre Liverpool, where there are 12,000 expected visitors.
With our passion for the nuclear industry, along with some exciting activities that we have lined up, we aim to help young people discover the exciting STEM career opportunities available to them.
At our stand we are offering young people the opportunity to engage in activities including manipulating a virtual reality crane from a real-life nuclear project, to move as many shapes as possible in less than three minutes.
Chantel Maynard, Graduate Mechanical Engineer, attending the event said:
“It’s fantastic to see so much inspiration and passion at these Big Bang events. These fairs can really show children how interesting and exciting STEM can be and provide encouragement for the future engineers that will shape our society.”
The event is an excellent opportunity to build important skills and capability for the future, not just for Cavendish Nuclear or the wider nuclear industry, but for the UK PLC as a whole.
