Cavendish Nuclear Recruiting for the Caithness Decommissioning Contract

Cavendish Nuclear is hiring in Caithness to service a major new decommissioning contract at Dounreay.

The UK’s leading nuclear services business is creating five new positions in support of its role in the Dounreay Decommissioning Framework Alliance, or DDF.

The alliance – Cavendish Nuclear, JGC Engineering and Technical Services, KDC Contractors and BAM Nuttall – recently secured a place on a framework for decommissioning contracts let by Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd.

Thurso-based Cavendish Nuclear is recruiting for a bid lead, construction manager, senior engineer, a project controller and supply chain manager.

The posts will be advertised at Recruit North Highlands, a jobs portal created by Caithness Chamber of Commerce with financial assistance from Cavendish Nuclear.

Contracts available through the framework are worth in the region of £400 million over a seven year period.

In preparation for the work, the alliance is also hosting a business breakfast for the local supply chain on Thursday 23rd May at the Pentland Hotel, Thurso.
