This week Cavendish Nuclear has been supporting the Department for International Trade’s (DIT) mission to further international collaboration at the Civil Nuclear Showcase (CNS) 2020 in London.
In addition to sponsoring and exhibiting at the event on 3-4 March, Cavendish Nuclear’s Strategy Director (and Women in Nuclear UK President) Lynsey Valentine and Alys Gardner, Business Development Manager, took part in a panel on people, skills and diversity.
Cavendish Nuclear’s Jay Bhart also delivered a presentation on the progress being made in Nuclear Sector Deal’s (NSD) decommissioning cost reduction work stream, as part of his seconded role to the NSD’s Programme Management Office.
Reflecting on the event, Cavendish Nuclear’s Managing Director, Dominic Kieran said,
“I am genuinely excited about the opportunities available for us to work together to deliver a sustainable future through nuclear energy. By committing to developing in-country businesses through sharing expertise and knowledge, including leveraging the UK’s decades of nuclear experience, we can collaboratively build a strong future for the global nuclear industry.”
“As Cavendish Nuclear we are actively demonstrating our commitment to developing in-country businesses in Canada and Japan and to collaboratively building a strong future for the nuclear industries there and in the UK.”
The DIT Civil Nuclear Showcase 2020 provided an opportunity for representatives of the international nuclear industry to meet, network and discuss the latest developments in the civil nuclear marketplace.
