Cyclists raise cash for Egremont's Calderwood House

A team from Cavendish Nuclear raised nearly £1,500 for Egremont's Calderwood House by getting on their bikes.

The group took part in a three-day ride covering 190 miles of cycling across Wales.

Cavendish employee Ant Owen organised the ride.

He said: "We managed to raise £1,466 for Calderwood House, which is an excellent achievement and we thank each and everyone who contributed."

Rachel Holliday, founder of Calderwood House, said: "We would like to thank the whole team at Cavendish Nuclear for raising money for the hostel."

"We rely on donations and events like this to keep us running so it makes a huge difference - well done to everyone that took part!"
